Re: about toothbrush
Mon, January 7, 2008 - 7:03 PMI usually bicycle at high speeds through low overhanging spruce and pines.. coming away squeaky clean!
Gaping to reveal the chompers of course.
However, I have used this brush.. with exceptionally concurrent sheen!
www.vermontcountrystore.com/shop...n.jsp
It used boar bristles.. which are also More durable than nylon.
And it carries an ice pick at the rear.. in case you're in a hurry to summit some morning -

Re: about toothbrush
Mon, March 17, 2008 - 9:51 PMthis seems a strange request for a group like this, but to tie it back in, There's hardly anyway to get your teeth cleaner than with a twig toothbrush. Cut the end of a pencil sized twig to a chisel and chew on it till it's fibrous. It takes time, but boy do they get clean. I like to use the california bay, but lots of woods will work if they aren't poisonous. -

Wed, December 3, 2008 - 5:40 PMI think changing often is good. Whenever I feel weird about my toothbrush, I know I have waited too long to replace it. With regards to a specific toothbrush to buy, think price. The more you spend the more it will do for you, much like a mountain bike frame.

Re: about toothbrush
Tue, March 24, 2009 - 7:16 AMJust read about this in the book ___A Kid's Herb Book__ by Lesley Tierra (a great book!)---
"To make your own toothbrush: Pick a small twig from the branch of a non-poisonous tree. In India they use the neem tree. One of my favorites is the bay laurel tree. Chew on the end until the strands separate a bit, like a small tooth-brush. Now rub it on your gums and around your teeth. Does your mouth feel tingly and clean afterwards?"
"Tree twigs to use: Bay, eucalyptus, licorice sticks can be purchased at the health food store and work well, too." -
