I know that all that is Nature is ruled bty one planets or another & many examples of which we see with herbs & ruling planets. But what about mushrooms, toadstools & fungi. I have tried everywhere to find what each fungi`s ruling planets may be..but to no avail. So can anybody help me or direct me. It does seem strange that all other of Natures bounty is listed with relevant planet but not the poor old fungi?

I know it the Alchemist's Handbook he gives a nice list for plants,
also in Cunningham's work on Magical plants there are correspondences,
but those 'lower' plant 'forms'... gosh ... dunno. search & 'see' then find!

A strain of psilocybe-containing mushrooms showed me all of the worlds present within the One. I ended up at the one (the earth's own essence) after 'traveling' through all of the worlds withing this one.

Here's my example.. I have a point to this!

All of the worlds are/were different lines of though/domains. Such as the world of gothic, polar bears, maple trees, rock types all have their own.. anything that claims and projects its own character is in a "world" as it were, yet the Fungi showed me that all of these are brought together in union, yet at the same time governed by the One, to put it Tao.

So it is my assumption that the planet associating authority or alignment with mushrooms is the Earth itself

Fungi aren't plants, lower or otherwise.

Totally off the cuff, but I would guess that fungi would be ruled by Pluto, symbolic of the god of the Underworld. Mushrooms and fungi work in very mysterious ways, breaking down other life forms, metabolizing toxins and purifying the elements. This is closely tied to our idea of death and transformation, and so it seems natural to associate it with planets and or deities of Death and the Underworld.

I like that H, & I can see where your coming from. It was just that my mind for some bizarre reason kept thinking like plants, like animals etc, fungi in its separate groups would have different ruling planets....but as you say they are an underworld species...thanks for the insight.

Fungi definitely abound near death.. however since they appear after death, this is only the catalyst that allows them to procure from their dormant state.. we have fungi living on us our whole lives.

It is my juxtaposition that fungi are, as you said H, invloved in, and are in effect The transformation.. not having any direct affilication with death other than their starting point..

Fungi contain so many elements within their Transformative nature.. Heat, moisture/dew, darkness, color, soft and hard, and nearly all in between.. it is therefore my astrologically novice device that they are sentinels of Earth, governed by no other.

i also like pluto as a ruling planet as most fungi grow and are "transported" in the "elimination" (feces) of animals. but as pluto/eris now being considered a 'dual dwarf planet system,' i would say the 'system' is what really lends itself to this rulership. eris, crafter of chaos as well, is what some of the purpose is, the immersion into the chaos of thought/exeriences can present. as well, eris as the navigator for the river styx, also harkens to the 'role' of many fungi/shrooms as being a tool for an other-world journey. then as well, because the affect of the medicine can be both very neptunian and/or uranian, the "outer" doorway of our system would suggest rulership over the 'tool' or 'opener' to these greater, expanding cosmic experiences.

I just don't understand how to believe that Nature is ruled by other planets.. I know that our orbit is maintained by the gravity pulling and pushing on Earth, but there is no doubt in my mind that what is here is ruled by the One, not any existential being present within the other planets.. they all have their own characteristics and behavior, but IMO there is no embodiment of these planets as ruling forces over creatures on the Earth, like it or not.

I don't really think of Nature being scientifically "ruled" by the orbiting planets. To me its more a reference system of the interconnectedness of all creation. If you think of the universe as a holographic entity (all parts, even the most minute, containing the entirety), then the association of ruling planets takes on a more psycho-spiritual context. We humans tend to observe, associate and interpret the world around us in a poetic and metaphysical fashion. This isn't necessarily *incompatible* with scientific observation. Just a different lens to view the world through.

perhaps more "influenced" than "ruled" ... ? ...

I do follow the signs of the year, e.g. gemini, pisces, etc. for plant health and planting/harvesting times, as well as the moon phases.

This is good for me to understand, because I've always brushed aside 'astrology' because I figured all involved believe everything is "controlled" or influenced beyond control by other planets

Actually, most astrologers that I've studied do NOT believe that.
I can quickly think of 3 who have different views:

The reason I want to know to `connection` between fungi & planets is that I am painting some pictures of women..13 in total, & rather than doing the usual Goddess stuff, I want to connect varying personalities of modern day female types to not just planets, flowers & nature types but also to fungi types. Its part of a long project of mine which involves symbolic research beyond what others have seemed to do so far....the last `female` on this spectrum would be a transgender..showing the flip over to absorbing the male...thus connecting!

Oh, now we know why! Oh, great indeed, keep at 'em.
I'm a painter too... Uh, had a friend in Montreal that did an amazing version
of the 78 Tarot cards (somewhat like Crowley's) & what he did was awesome!
He included as a correspondence a Molecule to each card !
            Hope this helps in inspiration.

You must tell me what his name is & where can I get or see these cards...just how does he use a molecule..fascinating! Good to here your an artist too..so you see where i`m coming from. i always have to pick the source..suppose you could say I`m a `bones` woman. it comes, I think, probably from my life here in the UK as a pro-dom. i`m now retired if that possible..but still have fun! The stigma`s that have followed me all my life & fractured & misaligned me from a lot of society, I try to express through my art & writings. I was never a victim, rather an adventuress of life in all its essence...but this guy sounds really interesting, like it & thanks for inspiration..that really gets me, lights & excites my world.

What is determined to be a planet is a fashion. Pluto got demoted to a planet-like object, which actually is a duo-body closely orbiting itself.
The recent science from the NASA Cassini probe orbiting the moons of Saturn shows at least two Saturnian moons Have organic chemicals, water/ice, and tidal energy from Saturn and it's ten moons. Think of the heat produced when you bend a paper clip, these large bodies orbiting each other produces energy. Think of the regular tides each day on Earth.
The Saturn moon Enceladus even has the signs of having a liquid ocean underneath it's Southern pole. Enceladus is active, producing inner heat, with the same conditions as deep sea mineral vents miles deep in our Earthly oceans.
All the same conditions for life also are possible on Europa, a moon of Jupiter. And of course, Mars.
Bacteria have been found miles deep in the Earth's mantle, far removed from our Solar life energy.
Amazing how we are learning more about how our little podunk solar system way off in the boonies may be more hospitable for life than what we used to be taught.
And that extra-terrestrial life which may be found soon close to our home may very well be a type of fungus.
