      this is really, really sad, especially as he did a lot of experimentation on his own body in the course of trying to re-discover dosing for certain herbs whose use was no longer well understood by the time he began to resurrect some traditions from the past. Thanks to him, we know a lot more about dosage of some potentially dangerous medicines and are rebuilding some of that old lost knowledge. I hope this work didn't ultimately contribute to his untimely death, and feel a lot of gratitude for the sacrifice if it did.
