at last - i found the cure: smoke herbs. i just had my first chamomile cigarette and am very content with the experience. it feels like a cigarette, yet it is only an herb. meaning, i can now quit the cigarettes without all the pain and suffering. i'm also taking "quit smoking classes" and have been chewing gum etc. but i wasn't able to quit altogether yet, though i had reduced it to a bare minimum. the chamomile did it !
i'll be smoking chamomile and peppermint from now on "prn" (when need arises). i didn't believe such herbs could replace tobacco. but they can ! for those who doubt my finding: try it. adios cigarettes !

"i'll be smoking chamomile and peppermint"

How's the taste? Are there any studies regarding the health concerns of smoking these herbs? Obviously it can't be much more dangerous than tobacco, but I'd still like to know.

I recently quit smoking after ten years of smoking roll my own American Spirit organic. I worked with Marijuana during the intense withdrawl sensations of the first 72 hours. I then smoked a mullein/coltsfoot mix to ease myself off the "idea" of smoking. Now I'm onto toothpics (flavored) for the oral fix.

I walked at least two miles every day for the past month to help with the fluctuating metabolic changes that occur when you stop smoking cigs.

Mullein and coltsfoot help cleanse the lungs. Of course if you dont smoke then it may not be in your best interest to smoke herbs to cleanse your lungs.

Now, 3 weeks later, I do not smoke anything on a regular basis. The herbs were there to aid in the transition from regular smoking to a new set of habits.

      ;)

        hi,

ideally, we smoke nothing and get only fresh and clean air into our lungs, i think. the chamomile and peppermint smokes are an experiment, to get off tobacco and nicotene.

by the way, i'm not sure i'm replying correctly to the posts here. i'm new here. it's a bit confusing. where is the reply button.

frankly, i don't know much about the safety of smoking herbs. but when i smoked chamomile yesterday, it tasted rather alright. not like a real cigarette, though pleasant somehow. the point is that i felt like i was smoking, yet without poisoning myself - hopefully. can't imagine chamomile being toxic. but i'll find out this week when i go to the next quit smoking class.
i'll try out also peppermint and other herbs. i'd smoke even my shoelace rather than cigarettes, knowing how harmful they are.
